'[having been searching for evidence of the truth of Christianity, Johnson] recollecting a Book he had once picked up in the Shop, & again thrown by, entitled De Veritate Relig: & c. he began to think himself highly culpable for neglecting such a means of Information and took himself severely to task for this Sin.
