Additional Comments:

The style of writing suggests that the annotations pre-date the book coming into Erskine hands. This is the second book in the collection with the Chrystie provenance. It may have come to the Erskines via J. Halkerston, a number of whose legal works ended up in the Dunimarle Library. Both Halkerston and Chrystie appear to be local to Fife. There is however a second name in the book ie on p. 114: "Alexander Blo...[?] my hand at ... day ... 16.8"
