Evidence: | 12 April 1880:
'Towards the evening there came a telegram from Mr. Drysdale, drawing attention to a notice in the Echo. C[harles]. S[chreiber] was out, but I sent for the Echo at once, and when it came it was found to contain a paragraph to the effect that the Liberals at Poole had decided to petition against C. S.'s return. I have not had much peace since.' |
