Witness statement in trial for theft: Esther Radford: [Bevan picks up parcel in Pond-street and takes it to Radford]... he gave them into my possession, and I put them into a bureau, and I desired my servant, when she went out, to get me a newspaper; which was produced to me on Monday; I read it through to see if such things were advertised; I saw no such thing...
