My latest book,[Keynes] is very interesting; it is quite a declaration of belief and gives some typically tentative and nervous signs of Keynes position. I think he realises that his attitude requires considerable modification. He has found and knows the truth, but is afraid to realise it. He tries to cover it up from himself by ineffectual qualifications.'
