Date range of reading experience is highly speculative since exact date of publication of the new edition is not known therefore the date range has been estimated by the date of the previous letter to recipient (14 January 1907) in which there was no mention of this book, and a further reference to receipt of a copy of the same book directly from Cunninghame Graham,the author's widower in a subsequent letter dated either July or August 1908 (Collected Letters Vol 4 ed. Karl and Davies, Cambridge ,1990, p.89) .
