'Sometimes I try if I can talk in that Jargon I us'd to hear but I cannot endure it & the remembrance of what you said puts all they say out--so that men hate me--today at Murrays I heard one read--& it made me sick so did the poem-it is Rogers's. It would seem to be Samuel Rogers to whom Lady Caroline refers, yet I am unsure which of his poems she is describing. Perhaps "The Campagna of Florence", but I do not think the date (at least of its publication) would make this possible. Still, she could have heard a manuscript/draft version.
