Evidence: | 'By the way the Mother gave him some of Miss Sorabji to read and he finds it as I did, very good – “splendid” he said in parts and is inclined to prophesy a great success for her. I feel sure of it for you see she knows so much more than other people and has many gifts as a writer.' |

Citation: | Letter, undated and unknown recipient, in the Sorabji Papers, British Library mss F165/198, letters from J Lockwood Kipling to Cornelia Sorabji about illustrations for a book. It is enclosed in enveloped marked: To Lady Richmond, Oxford, 10 November 1954, http://can-red-lec.library.dal.ca/Arts/reading/recorddetails2.php?id=20424, accessed: 31 March 2023 |
Although this is in an envelope dated 1954 it appears to be connected to Sorabji's earlier work so is more likely to from the 1900's. The letter also mentions Rudyard Kipling's speaking tour of Canada. |
