The item is in the Dunimarle Library of the Erskines of Torrie, Fife The identification of the reader is based on evidence from many other items in the library with John Drummond Erskine's provenance. He collected and annotated several books while serving in India but it is possible that this item was annotated once he was back in Scotland.
