Though the book was owned by John Drummond Erskine and the annotation is typical of his style (including very typical sketches of heads in profile, which appear in many of his books), there is another inscription "G.D.". This appears to be an adult's work rather than a school book, despite the title. The dates given are those of JDE's adult use of the library. |
